What's the meaning behind the band's name? It was dictated to us by an old indian shaman.

How the band started?? Yael, who was living in Berlin, posted an ad on Craigslist, to which William, who was living in Utrecht, replied. The planned meeting has been delayed in more than a year, as life circuimstances lead them into different directions. However, they maintained their correspondance and decided to start their project working long distance. Their music has reached the ears of frenchman Thierry through Myspace while he was looking for music to play on his radio show. The chemistry has lead to a musical cooperation and finally the trio was established.

What's the message to transmit with your music? We believe it's the end of the world as we know it. We just haven't quite got it all figured out yet.

What's your method at the time of writting a song?? Leather Academy is a democracy. We all write. somebody starts the skeleton of a song and the others join in with their ideas and inspirations.

Which is your music influences?? Oh so many. To name a few: Jacques Brel, Boris Vian, Diamanda Galas, Bowie, Queen,The Cure, Radiohead, Suede, Supertramp, Joy Division, Unkle...and Elvis.

What plans do you guys have for the future?? Inventing a smell capturing camera, and lead a worldwide coalition for teaching telepathy in primary schools.

Which has been the funniest prank you guys have been or took part while on tour or after a show??
We could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you.

If you guys were stranded in the middle of nowhere after a show or while on tour. The help is 65 miles away from where you guys are, ¿Who would you guys send to look for help? We'd go with the one most likely to be sober. That's William.
And if while the rest wait, there's no food and the only way to feed yourself is by eating each other, ¿Who would you eat first? After years of nourishing from the french cuisine and fine red wine, Thierry is surely a gourmet.

Which country you guys would love to play? Iran, China and Venezuela.

With which bands you guys would love to share stage?? Hmm, who would be the most fun to hang out with backstage? We'd go with Scissor Sisters and Poni Hoax

Are you guys OK, with the direction the band is going actually? We're optimistic. Sometimes.
