What's the meaning behind the band's name? Skin Trade comes from the book "Adventure in the Skin Trade" by Dylan Thomas. The book is a bunch of crazy short stories where the main character, in a sense, trades his skin after experiencing life lessons. Skin trade is also used to refer to pornography, and human trafficking. There is also the analogy of us all selling ourselves.
How the band started?? The band formed early this year when we met at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA.
What's the message to transmit with your music?? Just standing up for what you believe in, even if you're alone in your opinions. It's about not being led to conform with society. Giving in to the demons within, and just going off the edge.
What's your method at the time of writting a song?? We have several. A lot of the time I'll bring songs I've already made in a very raw form and the band will work on making it evolve...Other times they bring a great riff or rhythm, and I just write to it. Generally I just let the words and images start collecting in my head. I don't really plan it out before hand. The song always makes perfect sense by the end.... It becomes clear as we go along.
Which is your music influences?? Our influences are very diverse, we all like things from every genre. From rock we are influenced by Alice Cooper, 90's Rock (Pixies, Pumpkins, Nirvana, Hole), Manson, NIN, Metallica, Iggy Pop, etc.
What plans do you guys have for the future?? We are in the process of conceptualizing our 3 music video's. We will be releasing the first one be the end of the year, for the song "Going, Going, Gone" Hopefully we can gain a following outside the country, we'd love to play in europe and abroad.
Which has been the funniest prank you guys have been or took part while on tour or after a show?? The funniest prank? I suppose playing the Munsters Theme song at a sickening volume for a show at The Key Club on Sunset Blvd.

If you guys were stranded in the middle of nowhere after a show or while on tour. The help is 65 miles away from where you guys are, ¿Who would you guys send to look for help? And if while the rest wait, there's no food and the only way to feed yourself is by eating each other, ¿Who would you eat first? For sure we would all go together for help, but on the way we might eat Duncans Brains to gain his knowledge, lol
Which country you guys would love to play? I think the japanese would be a great audience, and I think the Germans would recieve us well!
With which bands you guys would love to share stage?? We would love to play with Manson, Alice Cooper, STP, The Hives, Minus The Bear, Otep, or Metallica.
Are you guys OK, with the direction the band is going actually? For sure dude lol
