The Phantom Creeps

What's the meaning behind the band's name? There is really a big meaning behind the name......I just seen the movie & thought the name sounded cool. It seems to suit us quite well, actually. 

How the band started?? Dean & I started taking back in 2008 about getting a new band going, as our other bands had broken up, & we were ready to start something new. The band formed 2008 with our first guitar player, Evan & we played our first show the beginning of 2009. 

What's the message to transmit with your music?? We want to transmit a rock and roll 'fuck you' attitude, some life stories and most of all, having a good time! What's your method at the time of writing a song?? Usually Jon or myself will come up with a basic structure & some lyrics, then we start jamming it out until it sounds the way we want it. 

Which is your music influences?? We have lots, but mainly good punk bands, 70's rock (think Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy, Kiss, AC/DC, etc) & some good country like Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr, & Hank3. 

What plans do you guys have for the future?? We are getting ready to start recording our second album in October, then touring like crazy in 2011. 

Which has been the funniest prank you guys have been or took part while on tour or after a show?? Well, Dean & Jon are the pranksters....usually getting each other when one or the other passes out first......nothing really major, but Dean still complains about Jon pouring beer in his mouth as he was sleeping & waking up choking. 

If you guys were stranded in the middle of nowhere after a show or while on tour. The help is 65 miles away from where you guys are, ¿Who would you guys send to look for help? And if while the rest wait,
there's no food and the only way to feed yourself is by eating each other, ¿Who would you eat first? Jon or I would probably go for help, because we tend to do more walking than Dean. Dean would be eaten first, because he is more plump & tender, haha! 

Which country you guys would love to play? Well, we would love to play many places, but the United States and most European countries. 

With which bands you guys would love to share stage?? Well, we have already played with many great bands, but for myself it would be: The Legendary Shack Shakers, Hank III, The Matadors, and many others! 

Are you guys OK, with the direction the band is going actually? Yes, we are very happy with our sound & our ability to cross over different styles of music.
